The Other Side of the Wind
Blue Is the Warmest Color was absolutely wonderful. Undoubtedly a masterpiece of human observation and expression.
Yale responses are the 17th of December. I wish they would just deny me now, it’d make like less anxious.
Once a week or so, the rushes would be assembled in some cinema wherever we were filming, and we would go off late at night to see them and we roared with laughter at all the mistakes. Orson adored that. Nobody laughed louder at any bad choice of acting than he did himself at his own performance. A lot of people who are serious about making films feel that means they have to be terribly solemn, but Orson never behaved that way. There was a tremendous amount of laughter.
Margaret Rutherford used to say that working with Orson was like walking where there was always sunshine. I felt that way too.
